A bamboo stick factory in Bengaluru, on the record
GreenLife Bamboo cuts, sizes, dries and packs bamboo food-service sticks on its own line and sells them direct to caterers, brands and households. This page holds the company facts, the figures behind them, our releases and the people who answer for them — free to use with attribution.
Who is GreenLife Bamboo?
GreenLife Bamboo (a unit of Zayd Solutions) makes bamboo food-service sticks in Bengaluru: skewers, kulfi and lollipop sticks, coffee stirrers, chopsticks and bamboo-stick ear buds. Cutting, sizing, sharpening, polishing, kiln drying and packing all run on the company's own line, to ±0.1 mm on diameter and under 12% moisture at packing, with no bleach, wax or coating. Founded in 2013, it sells to bulk trade buyers and to households across 22+ Indian states, factory direct, with a GST invoice on every order.
- A manufacturer, not a reseller — every stage from culm to carton runs on our own line
- Two customers under one roof: bulk trade buyers and households buying retail packs
- Sticks only, deliberately: skewers, kulfi and lollipop sticks, stirrers, chopsticks, ear buds
- Sold factory direct, with a GST invoice that names the material and HSN code
- Bengaluru unit; delivery across India, no distributor layer in between

How the company got here
2013
Zayd Solutions begins bamboo stick production in Bengaluru, cutting and sizing in-house rather than trading finished stock.
2019
Kiln drying and polishing brought onto the same line, letting the unit hold moisture under 12% at packing instead of buying dried blanks.
2023
Size ladder widened past 100 varieties as food-service buyers ask for exact replacements rather than nearest-fit lengths.
2025
Retail packs launched alongside trade cartons, so a household buys the same stick as a caterer, in a smaller quantity.
2026
129 stocked sizes, direct dispatch across India, and a pre-dispatch confirmation step on every order.
Press releases
Bengaluru, India · 2026-08-16
GreenLife Bamboo stocks 129 stick sizes so buyers stop switching one SKU at a time
The Bengaluru manufacturer has filled the gaps in its size ladder — 129 stocked varieties from a 2.5 mm cocktail skewer to a 450 mm grill skewer — on the argument that missing sizes, not price, are what keep kitchens buying plastic.
Bengaluru, India · 2026-08-16
Every stick on India's restricted plastic list now has a bamboo twin, and the dimensions match
GreenLife Bamboo has published an item-by-item map between the stick products restricted under India's Plastic Waste Management rules and the bamboo formats that replace them, with lengths and HSN codes attached for audit use.
Bengaluru, India · 2026-08-28
GreenLife Bamboo asks every customer to confirm the order before the carton is sealed
A confirmation step added between payment and packing asks the buyer to check size, quantity and address before dispatch — an attempt to cut the returned-to-origin rate that costs Indian e-commerce sellers freight in both directions.

Subjects we can speak to on record
Why plastic-to-bamboo switches stall
What we see in buyer enquiries: a single missing size, an inserter built around a plastic part, or an invoice that does not name the material.
Manufacturing bamboo to a tolerance
Culm selection, sizing, kiln drying and why ±0.1 mm and moisture control decide whether a machine accepts the part.
Single-use plastic rules, item by item
How the restricted-item list reads in practice, and what documentation a buyer is actually asked to produce.
Selling factory direct in India
Running trade and retail from one line, and what removing the distributor layer changes about price and lead time.
Failed deliveries and returns
Numbers from our own dispatch: what causes returned-to-origin parcels and what a confirmation step changes.
If the figure you need isn’t published, write to us and we will either publish it with its method or say why we can’t.
